Automation Service Engineer

We are seeking an Automation Service Engineer I/II to provide service support to the research and development team and to be responsible for troubleshooting, maintenance, and remote coordination of laboratory equipment and automated workflows. This position requires a candidate strong in root cause analysis, application support, and process troubleshooting commonly used in Next Generation Sequencing. The role requires a detail-oriented candidate with experience in a regulated environment, exceptional documentation (GDP) abilities, and strong written and verbal communication skills. This is a remote position.

Shift Schedule : Monday to Saturday

REQUIREMENTS

  • BS degree in a scientific discipline.
  • 4+ years of experience in operating and troubleshooting laboratory equipment, preferably high-throughput molecular biology equipment, especially liquid handlers.
  • Strong customer-focused service experience.
  • Ability to engage in constructive dialogue, challenge concerns, and maintain transparency.
  • Proficiency in problem-solving with limited direction and making confident decisions.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Solid understanding of statistical analyses relevant to automated lab processes.
  • Strong multi-tasking ability with a focus on prioritization.
  • Experience in troubleshooting complex scripts is an added advantage
  • Experience working in a CLIA or similar regulated environment is preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively in a distributed/remote team and build strong relationships.
  • Self-motivated with a high level of initiative.
  • Drive for continual improvement.
